## Overview

Topograph reads Dominican Republic Tax Authority (DGII) and returns the company profile of Dominican Republic companies through one API.

Search by name or RNC. The RNC is the identifier to use with company requests: 9 digits, written with or without hyphens. Legal entities only: companies start with 1, public bodies and non-profits with 4.

Company information comes from the tax authority (DGII), which keeps the register of taxpayers. In prefill mode it comes from the latest list of taxpayers DGII has published; in verification mode it is read live from DGII’s RNC lookup.

The company profile gives the legal name, RNC, trade name, economic activity, start date of operations and tax status. The tax register holds no address, officers or owners, and no legal form: the legal form is read from the end of the name when it is unambiguous.

It answers lookups by RNC online and republishes the full list of taxpayers as a file.

## Identifiers

Request a company by its RNC (Registro Nacional de Contribuyentes) as the `id`, with `countryCode` set to `DO`. Its format, validation rules and an example value are in the full reference.
