# Ecuador

Company data from the Ecuador business register, through the Topograph API.

## Overview

Topograph reads Ecuador Superintendence of Companies and returns the company profile, legal representatives, other key persons, shareholders and ultimate beneficial owners of Ecuador companies through one API.

Search by company name, expediente (the Superintendencia’s file number) or RUC. Use the expediente returned by search to request company information.

Company information is served in prefill and verification mode from the Superintendencia’s directory, which it republishes daily. Verification returns it only when it is confirmed to be the latest publication.

Officers, shareholders and beneficial owners are read live from the Superintendencia’s company record, in verification mode only.

- **[Ecuador Superintendence of Companies](https://www.supercias.gob.ec/)**: The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros supervises Ecuadorian companies (S.A., Cía. Ltda., S.A.S., foreign branches and mixed-economy companies). It publishes each company’s file number, RUC, legal form, legal status, incorporation date, address, legal representative and subscribed capital.

## Identifiers

Request a company by its Expediente (Superintendencia de Compañías file number) as the `id`, with `countryCode` set to `EC`. Its format, validation rules and an example value are in the full reference.
