# Lithuania

Company data from the Lithuania business register, through the Topograph API.

## Overview

Topograph reads Register of Legal Entities (Open Data) and returns the company profile of Lithuania companies through one API.

> **Warning**
> **Lithuania is prefill-only.** Every request must pass `"mode": "prefill"`. The whole country is served from a daily extract of the register, so there is no authoritative live lane for `verification`, which is what `/v2/company` uses when you omit `mode`. A request without it comes back with the datapoint failed and the error code `authoritative_source_unavailable`. See [Modes](https://docs.topograph.co/essentials/modes).

### Speed

A company profile typically comes back from the register in 1 s in prefill mode. These are typical observations, not a service-level commitment: set your timeouts well above them.

## Identifiers

Request a company by its Juridinio asmens kodas (Legal Entity Code) as the `id`, with `countryCode` set to `LT`. Its format, validation rules and an example value are in the full reference.
