Covers every domestic and foreign entity registered under Title XII of the Iowa Code: for-profit and nonprofit corporations (Chapter 490 and Chapter 504), limited liability companies (Chapter 489), limited partnerships and limited liability partnerships (Chapters 486A, 486B, 488), cooperative associations (Chapters 497-499), multiple-housing cooperatives (Chapter 499A), state-chartered banks (Chapter 524), savings & loan associations (Chapter 534), and insurance companies (Chapters 508-515). Each entity is assigned a six-digit corp_number with leading zeros preserved (e.g. 084726) that serves as the primary identifier across every register lookup. Topograph exposes two complementary integrations. First, the monthly open-data extract published at data.iowa.gov (~339k active entities), used for sub-second prefill lookups and the bulk pipeline. Second, the live business search portal at sos.iowa.gov/search/business, which covers every entity in the register (active and inactive), exposes authoritative status, the full officer roster (Name, role, Director flag, address), and serves the printable Trade Register Extract.
