The public FirstStop portal at firststop.sos.nd.gov publishes every domestic and foreign for-profit and nonprofit corporation, limited liability company, cooperative association, insurance company, limited partnership, trade name, fictitious partnership name, reserved name, and trademark filed in North Dakota. Each entity is assigned a SOS Control ID#, a 10-digit zero-padded numeric identifier (e.g. 0000071213). The register exposes legal name, filing type and subtype, current status (Active, Inactive - Voluntary / Involuntary / Expired / Merged / Consolidated / Converted Out), three standing flags (Annual Report, Registered Agent, Other), jurisdiction of formation, term of duration, initial filing date, annual-report due date, principal and mailing addresses, and the registered agent (with separate physical and mailing addresses, and a Commercial Registered Agent row when applicable). The portal does not publish officers, directors, members, or shareholders for any entity type: only the registered agent (and, for trade names, the registering owner) is public.
