- **[South Carolina Secretary of State, Business Entities Online](https://businessfilings.sc.gov/)**: Official South Carolina business entity register maintained by the Secretary of State and served through the Business Entities Online portal at businessfilings.sc.gov. Covers every domestic and foreign entity registered under Title 33 of the S.C. Code of Laws: business corporations (Chapters 1-20), statutory close corporations (Chapter 18), professional corporations (Chapter 19), nonprofit corporations (Chapter 31), limited liability companies (Chapter 44), limited partnerships (Chapter 42), and limited liability partnerships (Chapter 41). The portal exposes legal name, the public Entity Id, entity type, current status, domestic/foreign flag, incorporated state, key dates (effective, expiration, term-end, dissolved), the registered agent and agent address, the full filing history, and any former names. Sole proprietorships and general partnerships do not file with the SoS and are out of scope.

## Identifiers

Request a company by its SC SoS Entity GUID as the `id`, with `countryCode` set to `US-SC`. Its format, validation rules and an example value are in the full reference.
