A company profile typically comes back from the register in 3 s in prefill mode and 3 s in verification mode. These are typical observations, not a service-level commitment: set your timeouts well above them.

- **[Washington Secretary of State, Corporations & Charities Filing System (CCFS)](https://ccfs.sos.wa.gov/)**: Official Washington State business entity register maintained by the Secretary of State Corporations Division. Covers every profit corporation, non-profit corporation, social purpose corporation, LLC, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, cooperative association and registered trust filed in Washington. Each entity carries a 9-digit Unified Business Identifier (UBI) that cross-references the same company across the Department of Revenue, Labor & Industries and Employment Security. The CCFS portal exposes searchable entity profiles with the legal name, UBI, business type, registration date, current status, principal office address, governors (officers, directors, LLC members, general partners), and registered agent. The Washington Secretary of State no longer distributes a bulk corporate data extract (retired on 2024-08-30): every read is live against the CCFS register.

## Identifiers

Request a company by its UBI (Unified Business Identifier) as the `id`, with `countryCode` set to `US-WA`. Its format, validation rules and an example value are in the full reference.
