BetaCompany data from the Argentina business register, through the Topograph API.
Topograph reads Argentina National Register of Companies, Buenos Aires City Commercial Register (IGJ) and Argentina Federal Revenue Agency (ARCA) and returns the company profile of Argentina companies through one API.
Search by company name or CUIT. The CUIT is the identifier to use with company requests: 11 digits, written with or without hyphens.
In prefill mode, company information comes from the national register list kept by the Ministry of Justice, which covers every province and is republished about every two months.
In verification mode, the name, legal form, contract date, CUIT and activities are read live from ARCA, the federal tax agency, and the CUIT is marked verified.
Legal status is returned for companies registered in the City of Buenos Aires, from the City register. Companies registered in the provinces carry no status.
What comes back for each datapoint and document, as on the coverage matrix.
Requests run in prefill mode (fast) or verification mode (the authoritative register answer).
The registers this country’s data comes from. Secondary sources only enrich or check what the registers return.
The Registro Nacional de Sociedades, kept by the Ministry of Justice, lists every Argentine company and association that has a CUIT, whichever province it is registered in: name, CUIT, legal form, contract date, legal and fiscal addresses and registered activities. The Ministry republishes the full list about every two months.
The Inspección General de Justicia is the commercial register of the City of Buenos Aires, where about a third of Argentine companies are registered. It records each company’s registration and, once inscribed, its dissolution, merger, split or cancellation, which only then take effect against third parties. The IGJ republishes its list of entities every month.
ARCA, the federal tax and customs agency, issues the CUIT that identifies every Argentine company. Its Constancia de Inscripción, generated on request, states the registered name, legal form, contract date, taxes and regimes, and economic activities of a CUIT.
Request a company by its CUIT (Clave Única de Identificación Tributaria) as the id, with countryCode set to AR. Its format, validation rules and an example value are in the full reference.
The full reference covers how each datapoint is sourced and mapped, the vocabularies the API returns, the documents you can order and exact example responses. It is free with a Topograph account.
