BetaCompany data from the Kansas business register, through the Topograph API.
Topograph reads Kansas Secretary of State Business Entity Search Station and returns the company profile and other key persons of Kansas companies through one API.
What comes back for each datapoint and document, as on the coverage matrix.
Requests run in prefill mode (fast) or verification mode (the authoritative register answer).
A company profile typically comes back from the register in 2 s in prefill mode and 2 s (approx.) in verification mode.
These are typical observations, not a service-level commitment: set your timeouts well above them.

Official Kansas business entity register maintained by the Business Services Division of the Kansas Secretary of State. Covers every domestic and foreign entity registered under the Kansas General Corporation Code (K.S.A. Chapter 17): for-profit and not-for-profit corporations, limited liability companies (including series and professional variants), limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, and business trusts. Each entity is assigned a Kansas Secretary of State Business ID (distinct from the Federal Employer Identification Number) that serves as the primary identifier across every register lookup. The public Business Entity Search Station exposes legal name, business ID, entity type, formation date, jurisdiction, current status, principal office address, resident agent name and address, last reporting year, next report due date, forfeiture date when applicable, and the full filing history. Sole proprietorships, doing-business-as filings, assumed names, fictitious names, and trade names do not file with the Secretary of State.
