Official South Dakota state business entity register maintained by the Secretary of State. Covers every domestic and foreign for-profit and nonprofit corporation, LLC, limited partnership, registered limited liability partnership, financial institution (bank, trust company), and trade name filed in South Dakota. Each entity is assigned a Business ID of two uppercase letters followed by six digits with leading zeros (e.g. FB033693). The SoS Enterprise portal exposes searchable entity profiles with the legal name and foreign-registered name, business type, current status, jurisdiction of formation, initial filing date, term of duration, principal and mailing addresses, registered-agent name with physical and mailing addresses, the full filing history (annual reports, amendments, statements of change), and any historical 'old names'. The register is publicly accessible.
