BetaCompany data from the Connecticut business register, through the Topograph API.
Topograph reads Connecticut Business Registry (open data) and Connecticut Secretary of the State, Business Records Search and returns the company profile, legal representatives and other key persons of Connecticut companies through one API.
What comes back for each datapoint and document, as on the coverage matrix.
Requests run in prefill mode (fast) or verification mode (the authoritative register answer).
A company profile typically comes back from the register in 1 s in prefill mode and 20 s in verification mode.
These are typical observations, not a service-level commitment: set your timeouts well above them.

The Connecticut Secretary of the State publishes the complete state business register as five nightly open data sets on data.ct.gov: a Business Master record of every active and historical entity, separate Principal Details and Agent Details files that list officers, directors, members, partners and statutory registered agents per entity, a Business Filing History feed, and a Name Change History feed. All five datasets share the Administrative Legal Entity Identifier (ALEI) as a primary key and can be queried without authentication.
Official Connecticut Secretary of the State public business records search. Covers every domestic and foreign corporation, limited liability company, limited partnership, limited liability partnership, statutory trust and non-stock corporation registered in Connecticut. Searchable by business name, Administrative Legal Entity Identifier (ALEI), filing number, or principal/agent name. The portal renders an authoritative per-entity detail view with the current filing history, principals, and registered agent.
