BetaCompany data from the Chile business register, through the Topograph API.
Topograph reads Chile Internal Revenue Service (SII) and returns the company profile of Chile companies through one API.
Search by name or RUT. The RUT is the identifier to use with company requests: it identifies every Chilean legal entity, with or without dots and hyphen.
Coverage is every legal entity registered with the SII: companies, partnerships, foundations, associations, cooperatives, public bodies and foreign entities with a Chilean RUT. Individuals are not covered, including those trading under their own RUT; a single-owner company (E.I.R.L.) is a legal entity and is covered.
The company profile gives the legal name, RUT, legal form, status, start-of-activities date, registered activities and head-office address, as of the SII’s latest published list.
What comes back for each datapoint and document, as on the coverage matrix.
Requests run in prefill mode (fast); there is no verification path here yet.
The registers this country’s data comes from. Secondary sources only enrich or check what the registers return.
The Servicio de Impuestos Internos, Chile’s tax authority, issues the RUT that identifies every Chilean legal entity. It publishes lists of every legal-entity taxpayer it has registered: name, RUT, taxpayer subtype (legal form), start-of-activities and cessation dates, registered economic activities and registered addresses. The SII republishes the lists a few times a year.
Request a company by its RUT (Rol Único Tributario) as the id, with countryCode set to CL. Its format, validation rules and an example value are in the full reference.
The full reference covers how each datapoint is sourced and mapped, the vocabularies the API returns, the documents you can order and exact example responses. It is free with a Topograph account.
